Terms & Conditions

  1. Introduction 1.1 This competition is organized by LaBLiFe, a VITTA Group Ltd company (the “Promoter”) whose registered office is at Deerfields, Lynn Road, Setchey, King’s Lynn, PE33 0BD, United Kingdom. 1.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. Eligibility 2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter or their families, agents, or anyone else professionally associated with the competition. 2.2 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and to disqualify any entrants who breach these terms and conditions.
  3. Entry Period: The competition will begin on Monday 15th May and end on Friday 16th June. All entries must be received by Friday 16th June to be considered.
  4. How to Enter 3.1 To enter the competition, participants must correctly answer a question and submit their contact details. 3.2 Entries must be received by the closing date and time stated in the competition post. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or fail to reach the Promoter by the closing date for any reason. 3.3 Only one entry per person will be accepted. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  5. Prize 4.1 The prize for the competition is an online Live Moss Safari includes a curriculum-linked (Key Stage 3/Key Stage 4 or equivalent) Moss Safari comprised of a 15-minute introduction, 30-minute live Moss Safari narrated by Andy Chandler-Grevatt, 15-minute Questions and Answers (timings are approximate). The Prize is valid for 12 months from the winning date. The date and time of the event are arranged at a mutually convenient time with Moss Safari and the winning Science Department. Options exclude Biology Week and British Science Week.
    Science department to provide and set up the online platform (e.g. Zoom, Googlemeet, Teams). The science department can include as many of their classes as they wish e.g. as an assembly or broadcast into several classrooms simultaneously within the same school. The winning science department will be asked for participants to complete an online evaluation survey and a summary of the event will be published on the Moss Safari blog.  https://mosssafari.wordpress.com/blog/ 4.2 The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. 4.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
  6. Winner Selection 5.1 The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries. 5.2 The winner will be notified by Email within 30 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 30 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. 5.3 The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. Use of Personal Information 6.1 The Promoter will use any personal information provided by entrants solely for the purpose of administering the competition and notifying winners. 6.2 By entering the competition, entrants agree to the Promoter’s use of their personal information as described in these terms and conditions.
  8. General 7.1 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter. 7.2 The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition. 7.3 These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. 7.4 The winner’s name will be available 30 days after closing date by emailing the following address: hello@lablife.co.uk. 7.5 Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
