We’re delighted to announce that we are exhibiting at the Association for Science Education (ASE) Annual Conference 2024 at the University of Northampton’s Waterside Campus from January 4th to 6th, 2024, come and see us on the VITTA Group stand C9 & C10!
The conference includes international sessions, an extensive exhibition with exclusive offers, and specialised focus days for Post-16, professional development leaders, and technicians. The Futures Group program on Thursday focuses on professional development leadership, while Friday is dedicated to Technicians day. Primary and 11-19 sessions are integrated throughout all three days.
This session will report the findings of the ASE’s small scale research project into school senior leader perceptions of managing science departments. The project was funded by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation and is part of the ASE RISE program that supports science teacher retention.
From simple circuits to mastering a multimeter, Paul Cook RSciTech will look at time saving Technician tasks and required practicals too. This session is tailored for non physics specialists!
This hands-on session with Stacey Wheeler RSciTech will test your paperwork skills and provide great alternative practical ideas to use, which will keep your students engaged and focussed.
Dr. Andy Chandler-Grevatt, Senior Lecturer in Science Education, University of Brighton, will lead a Moss Safari workshop, making the microscopic world accessible with tips for exploration and free teaching resources.
Delegates will be able to have a go at an escape-room based around either Chemistry, Physics or biology. Taking part in an extra curricular practical learning, they will participate in various activities to crack the code and escape the room. This session is a great idea to take back to school for afterschool clubs or end of year challenges. Brought to you by Stacey Wheeler RSciTech
From assessment model to data-informed insights, this session will demonstrate how a coherent assessment model revolutionises responsive teaching and learning. Assessment expert, Dr Andrew Chandler-Grevatt, will take you through the Developing, Secure, Extending model and how using data from Year 7 onwards informs a cohorts GCSE journey.
