In this video, Paul Cook will demonstrate how boiling up water in a can creates a different pressure within it. When Paul inverts the can into cold water it creates a partial vacuum. The higher outside atmospheric pressure crushes the can.
For this experiment you will need:
An empty aluminum can
A 2- or 3-litre of water
A pair of tongs
A bunsen burner
A gauze tripod
Heatproof bench mats
